As most of you have noticed, I sold off more than half of my fishes. I have a 5" 100 gallon tank with seven inhabitants and they are:

7" NGT
6" AT
5" IT
2 x 6" NTT
10" Clown Knife
6" Bottom Dweller

I feed them twice a day, one during the morning at around 8 a.m. and another at around 10 p.m.

I change 50% of total water volume every 4 days. Should I change anything about it? Keep the same schedule but change less total water volume? Lend me your thoughts.

I noticed that feeding twice a day and half of total water volume every 4 days made my dats grow almost twice as fast when I was doing once a week water changes with the same volume and once a day feedings. This happened when I still had a total of 17 fish in my tank.

Thanks.

by 5" do you mean 5'? and bottom dweller as stingray? i would check the water parameters and gauge it from there. what kind of filteration are you using? every 4 days seems ok to me but keep the water prestine.

Yep, its 5" indeed:screwy:. I haven't checked my water parameters in a year and I don't plan to buy a test kit anytime soon. Fortunately, I haven't had a fish die on me.

You just answered it man.

if it aint broke dont fix it. keep up with what your doing. cleaner water = healthier fish.

^True. I am leaning towards continuing what I am doing but I was just wondering if there would be any negative things that can result to my practices with such a light bio-load.

By the way my filtration are 2 x Penguin 350, 1 Odyssea 4 tray canister filter, and
2 sponge filters.
