So right now I have 2 oscars in a 20 gallon tank that are both about 2 inches. I'm looking for a tank to house them in after they get to large for my 55 thats holding a sev and a bichir. I found a 75 gallon for $150 Will this be ok for a few years. or should i go bigger like a 100 gallon or 125. Should i wait for a deal or take the 75 cuz its a steal with a stand and marineland canister filter

the 75 may do for a lil while, but really with two oscars, u need the 125 at least. alot of people on this site will even recommend at least a 180 which i would say is a even better idea.

Yea i figured that. I own a 125 but it needs some work and a stand and lighting. So i was gonna work on that when i had the time. Would the 75 be a good deal tho for a while?

125 wit a good filtration will do both for life

around a here a 125 stand runs about $350. My main thing right now is space. I dont have a room for the 125 yet. How long can the 2 oscars and the sev stay in the 55 for. Thats why i thought the 75 would be a good idea for a while. I'm looking for ppl to talk me out of it or tell me to go for it... I could always see when im done with it..

On average oscars grow about 1 inch a month until they reach about 9 to 10 inches then they slow way down. So you don't have long at all. Also if there not a mating pair you could have aggression problems on your hands.

I'd stay focues on making the 125 work . . . you can either shop for a cheaper stand, or even build your own (several examples on the site in the DIY section
