Ok so some of you have seen my dovii. I feel in his current tank with much bigger more dominant tank mates he not allowed to truly shine. I have an empty 120 that i was thinking about letting him have to see if i can get some size and full potential on this guy. Do you think this will make a difference?

Now problem b. this tank is bare and not cycled and filters were used for sw. Hence they have bacteria for sw not fw. I was thinking of removing the filters, cleaning and switching for two filters from my 125 (which has 2 other filters and a canister so i dont think the tank will mini cycle) and placing the two established filters on the 120. Still with me? Got it? So my question is will this be enough for the 120 to be cycled enough to add the dovii?

Yes, you'll be fine if you transfer over either established filters or media from the filters into the new ones. I did this on my dovii tank, just took 1/2 the media from an established tank and put 1/2 new in. Never saw a hint of ammonia.

Yeah i decided to just pass the media. Made no sense to pass the whole filters. Im going to rinse them anyways to get out the salt water gunk. But i think this should work.

You mean rinse the actual filters and not the media, right? Just clean out the salt water residue etc, and move the used/established media into the cleaned filters. Rinse the media in actual tank water and not tap water and then pop it all back on the new tank. Make sure to match the temps on the new tank water and add Prime (or whatever dechlorinator you use) before starting up the filters, and the bacteria should be perfectly fine. You probably already know all of this, I just figured I'd type it out in case anyone else saw this and had the same questions.

Ok so i rinsed filter a. And filter b. received "moist" media from my other tank.

The dovii is in. Hiding like crazy. Hates his new home. Wont eat. Im thinking of adding dithers to get him out and about. I want to eat a good diet to grow , not wanting to eat kinda defeats the purpose. :P
