i had a recent problem with some cyano in my refugium. for the most part it is taken care of.

some of the cyano got on the center of my birdsnet coral. i cleaned it of but ive nitice some rtn where the cyano was. it doesnt seem to be spreading yet. should i frag of the good parts of the coral or leave it and see if it heals?

You can just always cut out that one area that is effected and leave the rest of the colony unharmed.

What kind of birdsnest do you have?

sometimes the inside portion of these tend to die out anyway, fragging to decrease the internal density a little bit once in a while goes a long wa toward having a happy coral.

Either way, it shouldn't be a problem. These frag pretty easily.

I decided to frag it today. What a nightmare. I couldn't cut it with bone cutters the way I wanted to, it kept breaking. But I did get 7 frags about 2" each.
