ok i am thinking of getting a 3-4 inch flagtail prochilodus for my 90 gallon. the 90 has 3 peacock eels at 8 inches and 1 black ghost knife at 3 inches. the 90 has a large peace of drift wood and the 90 has algae on 3 of the 4 sides. i would like to get the flagtail to clean the glass because this is going to be a discus tank. the algae was going to stay but is dying off and looking bad. the flag tail is 24.99 is that also a good price

i will trade/sell the flagtail when it gets some size to him/her if i don't up grade in tanks and how big of a tank for the bgk long term i have read min tank size is from 50 gallons (to low i know). other sites say 90 gallons

I kept mine in a 120 out of personal choice, he'd move the entire length in one dash easily. I'd say a 100 but I'm sure a few would say a 90 would do one knife justice. I'm not one to do 'minimum' though.

Anyway, controlling the algae is the job of the keeper, not the stock. I don't see much logic in buying a fish with the intent of eventually ending it off because he'll get too big. It's not exactly fair, imo.
