Well a few weeks ago (2 i thnk) i tryed converting my 3 bass off live food, i messed up on my feeding schedule for a few days and figured this is a perfect time to try krill, so i went to the lfs bought krill came home and tryed it and they went after it, so everyday till now i've been dropping in a few peices of krill but they pack it in their mouths like they would with feeders but m not sure if everything is being eat'n since they spit some out. so i was wondering should i go back to feeders for a bit to let them grow a little more, then try this whole thing again?

My bass will not eat anything that sinks, only floats or swims????? I feed em freeze dried krill, they love, cichlid sticks love that to!!! market shrimp or prawn, NOPE!!!!!

I would keep feeding the krill AND give them some live. maybe alternate days or feed live in the afternoon krill at night a varied diet is best no harm in including some feeders in that diet :)

My schedule is pretty much roseys every other afternoon frozen silversides on the other days. Then at night I pack them full of pellets :) . Throw in the occasional unwanted pet fish,Krill, and plankton as treats.

Good luck all you need to remember is there is no way to feed them too many different things.

I am new to this post thing but i have found that they will readly accept the krill day after day. We feed our bass krill everyday with no problems encountered. The krill that are spit out and make it to the bottom will be sucked up by your pleco's. I use that Pro Salt tub of krill that are frozen individually to feed them and all my pike

well i keep feeding the krill but i was wondering if it was the size of the krill thats the problem so i ripp the krill in 2 so its quite small and it seems to be working better i guess ill try the krill in the day and live at night seeing that the convs are breeding again =X i was reading somthing that bass eat earthwworms and stuff, does anyone know of a place where u can order worms in bulk or somthing?

Try Gulfstream Tropical Aquarium in Dania Beach @ 490 SW 9th St ZIP 33804.

They supply most of the LFS here in Miami with worms, live brine shrimp and other live foods.
