Should I go get a corn snake right now?

The other one I had before died, so that really dug deep...I think I am ready to try another corn snake now. Maybe it was because I dechlorinated the water?

The employee at petco said that they dechlorinated the water for the snakes...isn't that wrong?
 
Theres certainly no need to do it. Just make sure it is eating, and you have everything already set up perfect. Did you ever find out what happened to your other one?

Unfortunately, I still didn't...it could have been because I dechlorinated the water with chemicals. I guess I'll go get one? The store closes in an hour and a half.
 
Thanks davo...Actually it closes later than I thought, and there is traffic now...so I will wait for the traffic to be done. I'll keep you posted.

Nope, nobody smokes.

Last time I went to petco, I saw a small snake, that was black and white, I believe a king snake. Does this have the same care as corn snakes do?
 
Sounds like a Cali king.
