LFS had a beautiful 4" jardini in with some parrots and florida gars. Employee says no problem, but of course he would. I have a big tank, with 3 gars, 2 dats, and a few bottom dwellers. Do you guys think I could achieve harmony with a jardini or should I just get a silver?? I love my tropical gars and don't want anything that will kill them but they don't really movce much for a rival!!??

You could try a jardini and if it doesnt work out give it to me!

Really you'll never know untill you try it, but the bigger they get the more agressive the get generally. A silver is an awesome fish as well, but its all about what you really want.

Also, how big is your tank?

Tank is 310 gallons so there is plenty of room for him to be territorial!? Think I will try the jardini!? Also if you bought 2 jars would they more than likely bond and/or keep the aggression to themselves!?

it could go either way, but if you are going to do 2 its better to get them at the same time so they get their territory together. If it was me I would go with one. And your tank should be plenty for a Jar:) good luck!

Make sure that your other fishes are somewhat equivalent in size to your aro. or else the aro would be bullied around.
