i seperated my tank an put egg crate with mesh... seperated the 1 pbass that is shy an not eating... dumped some feeders in today an he ate like 4 or 5 tiny guppies. Some of the guppies got through the divider because so small... an the other 4 bass that are on frozen food ate some an now dont want bloodworms cuz they got some live food. Should i just give them all feeders for now untill they are bigger? or maybe get rosies that are bigger then the guppies? just dont know if the little guy can eat rosies hes only 2 inches an shy cuz if i got rosies they wouldnt squeeze through the divider?

I would not get any rosy reds until he is like 4" my baby Oscar who was like 3" ate multiple rosy reds but they have huge a** mouths lol I'm not sure about pbass but I know at 4" there would be no problems with him eating rosy reds.

You could try feeding him one feeder at a time to make sure he eats them, instead of dumping them all in at once

:iagree: once you have him hitting everything that hits the water you can start pellet training. Read dieselmacks sticky.

Yes, buy a few rosie reds... It's funny to watch my lil guy's (same size as yours) eat the bigger rosie's but they do. I don't do the guppies anymore, not enough bang for the buck here because the guppies sold here are so flipping small and they get eaten so fast without putting a lot of size on the cichla. Rosies however IMO last way longer (because their bigger) and put size on your PB quicker.
