Don't know how anyone here can express an opinion about whether you should keep or trade unless you give waaaaay more information about what you might be looking for and what you might be looking to spend.

This doesn't make sense. Why is it a question of what and how much? Perhaps the OP is just stuck on whether to keep it or not. Not because they are looking for something else...

What i think the OP wants to know is

A) is it a good quality fish
B) would others keep it
C) why would someone keep it.

I am looking for a masterpiece and just like others opinions. This one is only three inch. I am hopeful but I like to get the opinion of other fh keepers.

If you want master piece fish, you need to go directly to a farm. All true master piece fish comes from there, and be prepare to shed some serious cash on it(and these are the breeders - what I mean by breeders is that these are the fish they use to breed). Or you can always go to a show/competition and ask to buy it from them after the result comes out.
I would keep that fish and just grow it out, you can figure out from there if it is a master piece. No one truly knows if a fish will be a master piece at such a young age. All master piece qualified fish are mostly 2 years and up.
Overall, just keep that fish. It may not be a master piece but it may suit to your satisfaction. Who knows what will that fish turn out to be. And as you should keep in mind, in the flowerhorn world there will always be a fish that will be better than one another. So don't be too picky about it...:D
