Thanks for your opinion. I'm not planning on getting into a major breeding project, mostly just for fun. If I was to breed the female what should I look for in a mate for her? Do you think I should use a pearly male or a more red male?

Nice female! I say try it just to see if she lays eggs for ya. If she does try and find a fertile male RT from someone or Escondido/Vontehillo carpintis? GL

I would go for it too. Although it would be better if the male has more color and pearls, it wouldn't be a total loss to breed them once and see what you get. If the fry don't look the best in the end then you know not to breed them again, and in the process you will find out if either are good parents and how they raise the fry. You could end up with a big batch if 300 and they eat them over and over anyhow. Or you might get a dozen that are really nice.

I guess I do need to see if she will even lay any eggs. The male is fertile I know because he has fertilzed eggs with other females.
