I have a now 11.5'' male Nic, Im starting to worry he is not getting enough food, as he is not aggressive enough to compete with my forktail cats,
at the moment he is in a 6x18x18 with 10, 3'' Clown loaches, two 12'' forktail cats, a 4'' jag.
his condition seems to be going down hill, poor colour, losing bulk etc.
should I move him to a 120G, with a 15'' O, a 9'' O, and a 17'' jar,( will be going into a 180g next weekend when i get a chance), a 14'' common plec, and one Syn. Eupterus. The O's are mellow and predictable, the jar is uninterested in anything that doesnt envolve food.
So would this be a beter move for the Nic? less competition, seeing as the O's drop 90% of they're food?

cheers

if he is already starting to lose color and everything then yeah its probably a good idea to move him, though usually Os are huge bigs and i dont see him having much better of a chance getting food with them than with the cats, but you know your fish best and if your better judgment leads you to think he would do better in that tank then it couldnt hurt to at least try, after all it wouldnt be any worse than the tank he is in already, maybe try overfeeding the tank a bit so that some of the food gets dropped... well GOOD LUCK
