The Red-Finned Cigar Shark - Leptobarbus hoevenii

Just curious on if it is a good buy or not. Currently 10 to 12 inches. Feeding habits? aggression?

These are not reported to be aggressive but in the wild can reach 40" long, they prefer small shoals of 5-6 fish and can be flighty so need some vegetation as cover. They are omnivores and will eat small fish as well as most pellets. Tolerant as to water conditions but do best near 7Ph. Temp. 74-80F.
These fish prefer flowing water so it is best to add a powerhead or two to give a nice current stream where they will tend to congregate.
I have not kept any larger than 8" but the info offered other than max size is consistent on several sites. The max size I list is from fishbase. The ones I kept schooled with similar sized balas.
