Thats what i was thinking to. Im sick of my piranha and was planning on selling them anyway and getting a juvi flowerhorn but this way im killing 2 birds with one stone haha

TBH: Just sell him the piranhas. Don't take or trade, sell. Than buy a quality flowerhorn. The one in the picture is a little ugly.

OK weather or not I take this one or get another fh I have another question. I Currently have black gravel in my rb tank which will become his new home and I know this is a no-go with fh's so I bought 50 pounds of natural colorful gravel to use. My question is can I add it on top of the existing black gravel and let the two mix over time or should I remove the black gravel first?
