I have a 60 gallon tank that is almost done cycling.
I want to fill it up with baby datnoids and will get them next week. I know IT dats get parasites easily, so I was wondering if it's a good idea to put coppersafe in the water right when I put them in the tank?
Can baby IT dats handle coppersafe or is it a bad idea?

I put in polyguard at 1/3 the dosage and they were highly stressed. I immediately did a water change and they were fine again.

I would advise against medicating unless something is seriously wrong.

if it aint broke dont fix it

you crazy guys lol

personally i wouldnt medicate if they show no signs of infection, i would just add some salt.

just make sure the water parameters are good and watch for any signs of heavy breathing or if they just sit out in the open and are sluggish. i bought 6 initially and three died the same day, so i did a water change and bought 3 more from a different store and all six are doing fine now. had them for about a week now and no deaths. 4/6 are fully stable now so pretty happy.

Ahem...If anyone has problems, report to staff or else, corrective actions will be imposed for further personal insults. Thank you.
