My electric blue dempsey is still alive and healthy, but I'm debating if I should put him in the 125 gallon, with a egg crate divider put up for the ebjd, this cichlid is about 2 inches right now, pretty bulky for his size.Would the ebjd beable to fit through the egg crate divider or would it be ok with this divider up?

I'd keep a 2" EBJD in a smaller tank for the time being. Keep the water pristine, make sure he is eating and etc. Right around the 3.5-4" mark is when I would feel comfortable to put him into a larger tank.

Ok,just making sure, right now I currently have the EBJD in a 10 gallon for a grow out tank.I have had him since Spring break, while it wasn't close to the 1 inch mark yet. This EBJD has grown quite well this whole time.

I also have a question about my 2 ebjd that i have in a 55 gallon tank one is about 2 inchs and the other 1 and a half and i was wondering what yu guys thought would be best to put with thm

You should have spare pieces of eggcrate left, correct? Put it in the lil tank and make him go through it to see. My pair of pink cons 3" and 2" cannot go through mine.

I dont like dealing with EBJ that small, they are too weak. Honestly I would not put anything else unless they are MUCH smaller. Right now may be a waste of tank space but most people like it that way. I would put up a acrylic hole drilled divider so I can have other fishes in there too.
