Just bought a used 210 gallon from a guy who thinks the tank is about 10 years old.. the silicone looks in good shape with no chipping or flaking. Tank was full (saltwater) when i saw it then he emptied it an i took it home.. i will be using it for freshwater if that matters.... im just worried that it might leak one day in the near future but looks in good shape an dont wanna do extra not needed work?

If the silicone is in good shape, and it was holding water when you bought it, I don't think I would personally reseal it.

If it was in use right before you got it then ur good. If it was in a dudes garage empty then yeah id reseal it.

I have a tank setup right now that is over 10 years old and had never been resealed.

i reseal every used tank i buy because i had a bad experience once with the tank blowing up on me after a week due to weak seals and flooding the bedroom...
