lately i've experienced some tightness in my chest area over my heart, and there were a few times where i could tell my breath was coming a bit short. also, my mid back section has been hurting a bit as well.
i'm not even 30, i used to exercise quite regularly, and i have average body weight - i'm 155 lbs and am 5' 10". i don't eat junk food, i don't smoke, do drugs, lower than average cholesterol and 16% body fat etc. etc.

over the last month i've lost motivation to really exercise cuz of personal reasons, but haven't abused myself in any sense of the word by drinking or substance abuse. i'm thinking the back issue could be more posture related, but i'm kind of worried about the heart thing... i don't want to scare myself into thinking this could be anything more than the result of not exercising for a month, but nonetheless wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts...
thanks.

If this was a poll, then I'd say yes, you should go see a doctor... Specially cos ur having problems breathing. Better safe than sorry man

Definitely yes. Any breathing troubles are serious.

you have had threads regarding leaving your job, upset cause your girl does not remember your birthday...........variuos things. I would say you have a form of depression that is manifesting itself in forms of hypertension.

I am not a doctor, just observant

Age does not matter when it comes to shallow breathing and chest pain.. there can be many reasons for this... and posting in the lounge will not give you any answers or clues as to why you are having these symptoms... please seek medical help pronto.. just go to the emergency room and let them check you out... this is what you are suppose to do... there is nothing embarrassing etc related to it... please go now... and let us know how your doing.. good to hear you live a good healthy life style...but you still have risk factors... every living thing has them.. please goooooo!!It could be a form of anxiety...it still needs to be treated... go

Yep either that or stress. But yeah see a doctor, tell him what you've been going through physically/mentally.

Stress I have the same thing they did all kinds of tests on me and I am healthy as can be I just have anxiety really bad as I'm getting older I'd get it checked anyway I thought I was gonna die the first time. That and if you work out don't take any mass builders and all that crap I developed a heart murmer from mixing too many supplements. So stay away from all those pills

My cousin went to school with a girl who had a family history of heart problems. One day in gym she had a heart attack and died despite the help from the gym teacher who was a former paramedic. She was only 12 or 13.

While there may be non-threatening things causing your problems, the fact is, it could be very serious.

Only a licensed professional can help you in the short term.
