No. UV light isn't visible.

Most of the UV lamps do give off a bit of visible light, and possible some flourescence in the water and other materials. I wouldn't have expected the housing to let any of it out into the tubing, but if you open it up and the housing isn't broken anywhere I'd say it should be fine.

My Jebao UV has a window to check that the light is working, it shines out like that.

Looks like a turbo twist unit and mine does the same thing. Don’t believe it’s a problem.
