so I have had my first pair of Dovii for 1 year and he is about 10 inch head to tail and female is about 6 to 7.
There beautiful pair but I hate how the male runs and hides when I walk in the room, I'm starting to think Dovii are a bit overrated, even when he eats he is so scared of coming to the surface, is it true I have to wait till he is 15 inch to get some balls? They havnt spawned yet, will that change him?

The thing is I have him in a 220, and If I got rid of them I have a whole bunch of umbees that I can grow out and frees up a bunch of tanks. I'm so torn.

I know he's a stunner but I want more interaction from him. shouldn't he be more in my face @ 10 inch

KEEP THEM. Dude i been looking for a dovi for a year plus and just got a baby one. When they get full size in that nice tank they will be a BEAST! But its your tank and your choice.

10 " male Dovi is still a youngster he will come around. What I have done is adjust the light so it is not as easy for him to see out of the tank. I am suggesting taking advantage of reflections? less light in the room.

He is a beauty

Keep them, you'll regret it if you sale it! Give it 3-4 more months, once they start to defend their territory he'll start to interact. Plus even without the interaction the blue shine is beautiful!
I gave up on my Festae and recently saw a nice pair, boy do I regret selling my Festae.
