should i stop posting?

i am very new to fish keeping but have learned a lot over the last couple of months by asking questions.

but i am not very knowledgable and i feel as if my increasing post count is now slightly misleading as to how much expertise i have.... so should i stop?

if post count meant anything meh

I can tell you that there are some people with large post count that really thats all they got

post count means nothing in most regards, except for one.

when someone with little to no post count comes on to smack talk then my thoughts are that they really have not been long enough here to have that ability.

very few people really care about post counts-maybe thats my opinion but I personally never look at post counts.
I am sure that even I can learn from you and to think anybody on here knows everything is just ridiculous.I am sure for instance that there will be a time when I may have some strange parasite or disease that I have never dealt with in all the years I have been doing this. Why? Because certain disease and strains from the wild or different countries may not ever be a problem for ANY OF US UNTIL-"TOMORROW". There is disease that hasn't hit the hobby ever I am sure-if not disease-a new strain or a stronger parasite that our meds may not work for etc.I surely do not welcome any of that but as I said, who knows?Times change and certain parasites will become stronger and immune to our common med's. Maybe it wont be a parasite at all but a virus....just like we as humans cannot take just penicillin for everything-certain symptoms will be untreated by it and became over the years, stronger and it does nothing.Maybe it makes sense-maybe not but continue to post regardless and build knowledge, ask questions and learn. One day someone will ask you a question and you will have the answer.

only time i ever look at a post count is when someone is posting totaly outrageous / noobish info or talking trash then from that i determine wether they are joking or not or wether they haven't been here long enough/whether they even are educated enough on the subject to be talking like that

NO do not stop posting that's the perpose of MFK to post and thereby learn

Dont be silly,keep posting.
Some people on here have got quite big post counts and come out with xxxx or flame people as a hobby so dont worry about it mate post away.

Steve

what an odd question. of course you should still post if your unsure about something or if you can help someone with the knowledge you have gained.

if someone is making you feel uncomfortable then you can always ask a mod to look into it for you. i agree with what spwd said as well.

post counts mean nothing. for example, there have been people with post counts in the 5 figures yet they appeared to retain very little of what they had been advised or read on here.

I could possibly see your concern, if you actually had a large post count :screwy:

As others have said, post count means very little.

Post counts have no significance.....ask away!

its good to ask questions and stuff, don't look at your post count, but rather just concentrate on getting as much info as you can from mfk and just being part of a fishkeeping *society*
