Hi all, ive got a 6 inch Jardini and after reading some post about them it seems this could be a bad idea. Currently I have a 6inch Ornate Bichir 5 inch GKF 5inch Spotted gar. I am having no problems as of now. I have had silver arowanas with spotted gars in the past with no problems and now am feeling like i should go that route again. I will be housing them in a 200+ gallon tank within a year so room shouldnt be a problem. If there is a better arowana or top water fish ( not to costly) you can think of? Please let me know what you think?

i would keep my jar as long as it wasnt a problem no matter what people say...it could or could not turn violent...chances are it will
ive found with my jar as long as he has more fish to look at the calmer he is if that makes sense
the only time i saw him agressive is when i removed 3 tankmates

price, quality and for looks sake, DONT. :nono:
jardini are far better good looking than silver. tail for instance, silvers' tail end arent attractive when they get older. :yuck:
as for your aggression dilemma, i cant answer that coz i have no experience on aro's. :uhoh:
all IMHO.

Stick with the Jardini, it won't require a huge tank in the long run. It will always stay smaller then any Silver Arowana because they will outgrow any tank that's too small for it and grows fast.

Jars are a hit and miss. I've seen one that terrorized and killed, then another that got along with tankmates. Jars looks nicer as it gets bigger and don't know of any drop eye syndrome.
