Should i? Tank Question

Should i toss out a foot to gain 6 more inch on a 240? i can get the 72x30-25 or a 60x36-25 mainly going to stock a cat/LMB and future more monsters ones im over the bass.
 
i got the 5'x3'x25" but when i got it i had it custom built and i wish i woulda made it 6'x3'x25"(i would make it 3' tall but it wouldnt fit in my basement) so if i was you i would have them make you a 6'x3'x2' its not that much more to have a tank made and its worth it
 
once it comes in im goingto move my LMB to it along with the channel cat if he doesnt do well in the pond with the koi. Im going to full grow him maybe with other bass or try and find some coop fish for him. But a 3 foot tank can house quite a few fish right? not all at ones but i mean like i can have 2 aro at one time 3 oscares at one time if u get what im saying. Filter i have a DIY 100g moving bead filter im going to make.

another foot high will add about 20 or so gals? o think. no idea. Well i not flushing the tank to anything. it just going into my rec room, along a wall
 
Bump plus move please(setup). But anyways Im getting the new tank next week and want to know befor i order it... Should o lose a foot to gain an extra 6" Width? ? or should i just order the 72"x30"x25" Im Looking to house Bass 2-3 or other monster fish So im looking for a Good all around Width tank. If i go more monster im only going to get 2-3 for the tank. Thanks

you wont beable to have 2 arows..1 arow would be fine(i have 1 in my tank) 3 oscars would be fine too you could even get more

But which model should i get the 30 or 36? width or most fish dont max pass 30? and will do fine in a 30? I can get it custume made to 6 foot and 3 feet wide cuz standard is 6 feet and 30inch.
 
Well all my LFS Have a big diff in the the two tank as price. I cant seem to get a 5x3x2' tank with out paying about 100 dollors more. or so luckiest i can get was 30inch wide for 600 out the door. but at 6 feet so i think im going to go for the damn 30. I want big cuz i want to house Pbass some time down the road or maybe aros.... Oh well tank Will come be for newyear. :(
 
6' x30" is better to me but it's all in what you want.
