ok so some may be aware of my new escondido thing

he is currently in a 4ft 55g

is this gonna be big enough for him by himself?
or would i need to upgrade to like a 5 foot???
and what is the volume of a 5foot is it 75gal???

i ask this from the point of a poor person and getting a 5 foot could be some time away

thanks for ur help

if thats the dimensions then that is a fine size, but as japes said bigger is better. a standard 55g is 48x12x18, those dimensions that you listed are ~67g.

that is important here is the depth of the tank. as you said it is 18". That should be fine for life considering carpintis seldom ecceed 10" males will but not much bigger

If you have the space and the money, you should ALWAYS upgrade... IMO

You should be fine for life Escondido don’t get that big if you’re asking practically for lack of space your 55 gallon would be adequate for life, but if you want a bigger tank it would be optional!
