I have a sturdy table that I've been using to hold my 55 gallon for years and I'm wondering if I can fit my 55 and 20 (sideways) on it and how I should do it. The table is 60 inches wide, the 55 gallon tank is 48 1/4 and the 20 gallon tank is 12 1/2 (total of 60 3/4. Therefore, there would be 3/4 of an inch of tank over the edge(s). How should I do it or should I not risk it? The table is also wider than the 20g, but I can just put a board under it. Should I just set the 55g totally on the table and put a board under the 20g (covering the whole bottom) and have that stick over the edges of the table?

thx

I would not let it hang over. It could possibly put some uneven stress on the silicon and break the seal.

Pictures would help.

Will the table hold an extra 200+ lbs with someone leaning against it?

I don't actually have it set up and the 20g is full, so it would be hard to get pictures. The table's sturdy enough and I can always reinforce it. I'm sure it will be able to hold the weight, I'm just not sure if it's ok to have something hanging off just a little. I'm thinking I will just play it safe and sell the extra 55 also for financial reasons.

Go to Home depot and get some plywood cut to the dimensions you need. Set it on top of the table and your good to go.
