A couple of months ago, I bought 2 micro's and they are doing well.
They are eating and growing and the biggest are showing a wonderful blue color, so no problem there..

However, today when i was changing water, I noticed that the biggest of them have, how shall i put it..a kind of a "dent" in this area:220px-Channa_micropeltes_aft_Bleeker_1878.jpg and it is only on the left side.

It is not easy to see, I have tried to take some pic's but so far I haven't been able to.

I didn't really notice it when it was smaller, so i can't say if it has had it since birth.

I very much doubt if it is a disease, but i am not sure what it is either...it could be a birth defect, I suppose??

Anyone have some input on this?

How is it behaving, apart from you having noticed the dent? Normally?

Yep..it's behaving absolutely normal.

Eating like a pig and bullying the other fish:)

So perhaps it 's one of those things you only happened to know today...keep watch, see if it continues to behave normally and do not stress, imo

I have 3 young micros left with me and the smallest one has this sort of dent as well, its quite similar to your case, its doing just fine and eating normally. Lets just hope its nothing serious.
