Sell my Green terror that is @ 5", than get like 10 IT dats and grow them out? The tank is 55g and there is a 4" delhezi that i don't want to sell. The dats would be 1". Also, the delhezi is super lazy and barely even gets the food i put right in front of him. There is extreme filtration, i would have to change the gravel, and do a lot of modifications. But in my future tank i would have to sell my green terror one way or another.

We can all say our opinions, but at the end of the day its your decision. Do what you think is right for you.

You seem really into dats, and if your gonnna have to sell you GT eventually, why not now to fund the dats? Just make sure you get him a good home

10 dats in a 55 gallon? You'd need to upgrade very very swiftly. What're your plans for when they outgrow the grow out?

I plan to grow them to about 5-7", and sell them off pair by pair until i end up with a single datnoid, not to mention the most stabet one.

Than i wouldn't worry my dad with another tank. But of course relocating the GT means renovation, to the nth power to make it dat safe. I might just toss the gravel and get sand. But i would like to have a variety of fish, and selling the GT is like selling a puppy i just got...... i am still not convinced.

A fair plan. What about when the one you keep outgrows your 55?

Your favorite fish seems to change every few weeks. You'd be best to keep what you have the facilities to house. You are in no position, tank wise, to grow out 10 dats to 5-7"

I know i just don't like to believe it..... I will probably just get a pair, sell the other one than put the other one in the 55g, by that time i should have enough funds for a bigger tank
