just doin my homework, standard 60g (36" x 18" x 22"), 6 discus, 3.5" each, bb, hang on box filter, 84F, daily 50% wc, stable diet of live bloodworms, NLS pellets, tetra color bits, 5-6 feedings a day

does everything sound alright?

also at what size can I decrease wc?

Sounds good to me, but I would raise the temp. to 86 for youngsters. With 6 fish in a 60, I wouldn't change the water change routine. Using a 10 gals. per discus guideline, as adults the tank will be maxed out. Instead, I would find easier ways to change water, with pumps and water hoses, or whatever. Example: I have a pump that can connect to a garden hose, and with it can drain and fill 50% of a 55 gal. in under 10 minutes. They are ways to make it very easy.
