Just came back from the fish store. These guys usually stock common fishes, but what do I see but a 4-5" endlicheri bichir. This is the rarest fish I've seen at the store. These guys just have the fish labeled as bichir for only $15!!! They don't even know what they have!!! Given the store is very small and the collection is limited. The problem is my tank is only an 120, how long do I have till I have to give the fish up? 6' x 1.5'. Should I even buy the fish or what? I know these guys get giant, so my tank might be a bit small.

You have two Options available to you.1.) Get the endli and it may have been tank raised IE could have poor genes and only get 16"
2.) Get the Endli and save up for a bigger tank

Well thinking it over, I decided not to get it. The endlicheri was a trade in from another customer, thats why it's so cheap. I mean $15 freaking bucks for an endlicheri!!! My 120 gallon tank is only 18" wide, which will not be good enough for the endlicheri long term. And I really don't want to get a bigger tank than a 120. I'm not the type of guy that wants to get a fish and not be 100% sure I can take care of it long term. Still though amazing black solid patterns. Thing was freaking perfect for only $15.
Get it, 15.00 is a steal. And if you don't have enough space you could get some good money by selling him on the Classifieds here.
