so i was in a LFS today, first time I have gone in there and it was clean a tidy in fact from what i have herd i was taken back by it a bit. they didn't really have anything special in there for most part. but in one tank they had two Channa Bleheri, now I been thinking about have a clear out in one of my 4 ft tanks, current residents are my pair of JD but i may move them on and plant the tank out and get the two they have in store. thoughts??

I have been reading a bit and from a lot of UK keepers it seems best way is to not run a heater over here which makes my life easy and tbh may cut my bills down a tiny bit hahaha i know the shop currently have them heated. planting is easy as I have a lot of wild weeds and plants going in my pond and food items are similar to a lot of my oddballs so i can pretty much set this up in a day or so just do I take the plunge or not??

well I got the tank ready, but need to buy a few plants first and move out a few occupants, may see if LFS fancy a trade

channa are addictive, wish i never sold my rainbow, a guy i sold some midas to practically begged me and i declined, he then tryed again and i caved for 35 uk pounds... mine used to come up to say hi when i tapped the glass with my nail and jump outta the water for prawn!-) i now have my lone ornatipinnis, great fish buy seems alot more introvert, hopeing he will come outta his shell with time, i will always have at least one channa in a tank...

does £15.99 seem an ok price for a rainbow over here??

yeah mate thats cheap in the uk, alot of stores push to 20 quid plus... i think wildwoods have some for an idea shane.

ill have a look, only problem with this shop is they have them in a heated tank, may see if they up for a trade with the stock i wont to shift lol

most stores offer a third of what they will charge... just cool em down gradually, they will thank you for it!-)

cool im gonna give the shop a call in the morning see if i can strike a deal lol, really wont one now. only thing is i thought i had more plants in my pond than i actually have so may have to buy some, i can add plenty of tubes for them though.

do some research, could get away with a larger species in a 4 foot tank, wildwood usually have some nice ones and quite a few are cold water mate and more colourful. fire and ice are nice and flame backs, sorry chronick not right up on all the channas latin names yet haha...
