Hello,

I have kept a Syno. Nigrita for about 6 years and has grown to about 6 inches. Lately he/she has become more teratorial to the other fish in the tank.

Most times there is not a problem but I am comcered that it appears to be trgeting my sd's but not the smaller congos. The aggression does not appear to orevent the other fish feeding.

It would be a shame to have to remove him/her as he/she has a lot of character.

Any advice will be appreciated.

you shouldn't worry about SDs
they are quite fast, so are the congo tetras
both should be fine

Some synos are known to be more aggressive when they do not have alot of space. What size tank do you have her in, and exactly how many tankmates?

Alot os Syno species are also known to become more aggressive as they age.
