can anyone tell me about a shovel nose cat?

Uh... which one. There's dozens of kinds. But I'm assuming you either talking tiger or limas so...

If your talking tigers (TSN) they get max 36'', avg 24''. 300 gallons to house an adult. In case of large specimens, up to twice that amount may be needed. Heavy filtration is a must.

If your talking lima (LSN) they get about 12'' and on rare occasion, twice that size. 125 gallon minumum, IMO.

only 12" if not properly cared for. lots of people love their limas and care for them really well and they reach 14"-16"
