Shovelnose ID please...

Heres the deal, a friend of a friend is sellin this shovelnose for $15, and i would love to have him, but before i purchase i would like to know specifically what kind of shovelnose he is and some odea of what his full size will be.
Any help is appreciated.

they can grow real big...i mean over 2 ft easily

damn i forgot that part lol. here they are. He said its about 6" right now if that helps any.

Looks a heck of a lot like a lima shovelnose to me. I'm no expert though.
I've read they get 18-24"

From what im seeing in the pics i've found online im kinda leaning toward it being a lima shovelnose but im no expert...feel free to correct me.

it's a lima and it will top out about 20"

awesome. thank you guys. what would your opinions be on using him as a tankmate for my FH until his tank is set up? my FH is over 10" at least lol.

the are peacefull unless they can fit it in their mouth, FH may be too aggressive while the LSN is small

well i got the LSN and he is a lil bigger than the guy said. im guessing about 8" He's now happily (im suprised) chillin in a 30 gal quarentine so i can watch him and make sure he's healthy before i put him in any of my tanks.
