Could i mix one of these with a 7"senegal bichir, 7"clown knife, and a 5"iridescent shark? Any tips for keeping these?

im not going to be gettimg one for a few months so my fish will be bigger and i just re-measured them and they are each an inch bigger. my tank is going to be able to house one for a long time, but once he starts getting inches past 1 foot, then i will need to give him away to my lfs.artemis1;2481453; said:
are we talking about a lima shovelnose if so after a foot its growth rate will really slow and most stay around 15 to 16 in some 18 and if you get him at 4 to 5 in it should work how big is the tank
Yes we are talking about a lima shovelnose, i was 2 minutes past the edit timer...the tank will be 55 gallons with my fish in my signature and those fish only. i will be getting an air pump to aireate it better for more accommodable water and i will be over filtering it with an extra 29 gallon filter. when the time comes to get a bigger tank for the ck and the lima i will either buy one or give it away/bring it to a huge lfs that takes in monster fish no matter what size.(as long as they fit in a 200 gallon tank......) PS he WILL be 3-4 inches when i buy in a few months.
So you wan't to put a 4" lima a 7" clown knife a 5" id shark and a 7" senegal all in a 55g. I sure hope you have future plans. What do you plan for filtration.
well the lima will last a nice while in the 55 but you need to reall over fiter it i would suggest a ac70 or ac 110 packed with ceramic and a magnum 350 or a fluval 405 i run a extremely overtocked 55 with cichlids and i use a magnum 350 and a ac110 and it is always crystal clear just my opinion
i might be getting a 75 depending on if i can find one that cost under $250 with everything included...i do have plans for the future when it gets too big for a 55 or 75. do you anybody or any place that sells full sets for m asking price???crisper;2482983; said:
