So catfish guys what do you think about the shovelnose *not tsn* in a 75g do they really stay in the 8 in range?

Lima shovelnose can grow to the 18 inch range, but often only grow to 12" in the aquarium, but there is no telling if it will stay 12 or grow completely to 18. You will be fine in a 75 for awhile. Some have a really fast growth rate others a really slow.

well damn i thought i'd found a mini shovelnose...

thanks guys

yeah i have a LSN in my 75 right now. they are really cool. A good fun fish. I didnt mean to turn you off of it. Just wanted to let you know it doesnt stop at 8 inches.

Every lima I've owned grew to more than 12" in less than a year. My biggest is pushing
15" after about 14 months. Got it at less than 3". There is one member on here that has one between 20-22" if I remember correctly. I have a picture somewhere of one that was caught at 30".

So what would you suggest that is about like a lima but stays under 10in?
or close to that number

Sorubim maniradii grows to 9 inches. But ive never even heard of someone owning one. Maybe necro has an idea he is the cat god.
