Shovelnose

What is the maximum size for a shovelnose catfish. I have read 18" but I'm not sure about that. I know it is not a tiger shovelnose which get huge, but it is labeled as a "shovelnose" Thanks for any info.

if it's a lima shovelnose, then it won't get too big. i don't think they get bigger than 24" at the very max, and i'm probably overshooting it a bit.

Is it true that if you have a group off them, they hunt together? How mutch animals would a group be to accomplice that behavere, 4 enough? Anyone experience?

my experience says 24" in the wild max in a big tank maybe 14"-16"
