Then I gave the male to a fellow MFKer YankeeJack last I heard he is still alive and actually just turned 3years old

Most recent pic I have of him at 10inches long. He is a resident stud at a Platinum JD breeding project

These catfish are probably Rhamdia guatemalensus (or one of the Rhamdia species that range from Mexico south thru Colombia).
In the beginning of the first video they are about 8"-10", as are the adult JDs.

They like rocky overhangs.
