Thought it would be neat to see some pics of everyone's cichla showing the same fish's baby and adult pics. It is fascinating to see how they change. Post em up! I'll start...

very cool!

When I first got into cichla I was a straight newbie for the most part. I had kept oscars and all the other fish you see in petco, petsmart etc. But then I introduced myself to MFK,(looking at fish online at work). And then the passion for fish keeping grew on me. Now I am addicted.

I started cichla thinking I could raise them and eventually put them in a pond at my parents house in northern ca(sonoma county). Well that wont work...gets too cold. I didnt have much experience w/ tanks over 55g at all...Well I got a 120g and had it running for an easy 6 months...then all of a sudden I had algae blooms like crazy....I started using algae destroyer. My fish started siezing up over time..a good month of using the chemical that is SUPPOSED to be harmless to fish. Well I lost a lot of fish n that time....

Well here is my lone cichla survivor of 6 I bought from snookn21(john). This occel has really put on some color the last month or two. In july I will have had him a year.
