I don't have one yet but would like to see photos of these fish rooms I keep hearing about. I want to have a room with about a dozen various tanks once I get into a house instead of an apartment. I want to see what other people have. I'm not asking how many tanks you have. There are enough threads on that. I want to see pictures of these fish rooms.

Post a picture and if you do post what size tanks you have.

I really wish Southern California houses had basements. But probably 99.9% of houses out here don't have them due to earthquakes and such. I miss my east coast basement houses. I'm going to have to look for just the right house when I get one in about a year or so. I am a car enthusiast too so I can't take up the garage with the tanks because there will most likely be a car restoration project going on too. I will have to find a house with a nice "back room" or extra bedroom or something. My idea is that I would have to check foundation, brace the heck out of that room's floor if needed and then proceed with the fish room. I'm sure this is a lot of people's dream here. I'd then imagine my self acquiring tanks through various outlets and since SoCal's craigslist is awesome on big tanks for cheap I should be able to pick and choose and still get a few nice ones. Then probably build my own stands and try to make them all look conformed together nicely. Probably similar to kitchen counters with filters either behind or below each tank. Then a couch in on end of the room and I'd be happy as can be. Better entertainment then 99.999% of what's on TV these days.

So does anyone else have similar dreams or have already done similar to this? I'd love to see photos.
Thanks.

Was?...What happened?

yes, what happened? It was really neat looking!

We had a chimney fire over the holidays. No one was hurt but there's no power in the house while it's being repaired over the next couple months.

Fish (that lived) are spread among a half a dozen or so buddies.

The next room will be even better :)

Matt

Great that none were harmed! How old is that little pumpkin there, helping you?

Great stuff. Can't wait to see the new room!

I also have a 4,5 year old assistant, lol
