Shrimp food advice

I am after a little advice regarding shrimp food. After a quick Google search it led me here....

I recently purchased my first freshwater shrimp and whilst searching the internet for the best food to give them i cam across this http://www.britishreds.co.uk/best-freshwater-shrimp-food/

Being new to shrimp i have no idea if its true or a sales ploy, can somebody advise?

Blanched spinach is good for cheap regular food. When you get enough posts, pm me and I'll give you some good places to get specialty foods.

I understand it's their own food, they are not hiding that fact. I'm just curious if all the ingredients are as good as they sound?

Also, is it true about wheat being used in commercial foods to bulk up the product?

Wheat (flour) is used as a binding agent. It helps hold the food together.

With regards to "specialty foods", IMO you don't need to spend the insane amount of money that some of these commercial food makers want for their products. Regular quality fish foods will more than suffice. See the shrimp below, all raised on a commercial fish pellet. (NLS Grow formula)

they are scavengers and will eat most foods. though a lot of the specialty food they will go after even more. i also do fresh veggies. i also keep leaves in my shrimp tanks as well. for example Indian Almond Leaves, Mulberry Leaves, Guava Leaves and Amaranth Leaves.

I just feed mine cheap shrimp pellets. They're breeding really well so I'm assuming they enjoy eating their kin.

I crush algae wafers and flakes together into a powder that i sprinkle in my shrimp tanks

They are cleaner, they will eat pretty much everything. I feed much whatever I feed my zebra
