I'm setting up a 1 gallon vase with a moss carpet, a rock, and cherry red shrimp. I want to put a small LED light on top of it, and attach a cd player motor with a AA battery which will turn a small propeller in the water to keep it aerated and give a small current for looks. Its going to be all self contained and awesome and I will be able to put it any where in the house because there will be no chords. What do you guys think, will the propeller be safe for the shrimp and provide adequate aeration? And does any one know if a long photo period has any negative effects on rcs?
