Shrimp tank setup!

Just wondering how much it'd cost to set one up

I used a fluval chi($50ish) pfs and some plants from another tank. If I were to do it again I'd use a 10g tank with a sponge filter so that I have more flexibility than a complete system kit like the chi and cost about the same.

Oh, nice. Bc I already have a 10 gallon. Anymore advice from anyone? I just want something simple but nice on the eyes but with some exotic shrimp

Keep it simple. concentrate on the overall composition. Driftwood, natural substrate and good light, maybe a centerpiece like a cool rock. I think shrimp are soo cool and they are surprisingly hardy animals.

That sounds like a good plan, anyone know anything about artificial soil? Also if plants are necessary?
