So, since the crayfish situation is going well (Thanks to all of you) I decided to try other inverts, like shrimp.

It started when I got some ghost shrimp to feed my crayfish. He gobbled up the first few, and the rest are currently amusing me with their antics.

I'd like to start raising ghost shrimp...and then maybe move to other kinds later on. I have a five-gallon tank...I've heard you can keep about 100 in a 10 gallon with 30% water changes every week? So...is this accurate? Because I could then squeeze around 50 in a five gal..if this was accurate. Which I'm not quite sure it is...at least, to me it sounds waaay off. Hence, I return to this wonderful forum?

I've found that ghost shrimp aren't as easy to breed as something like RCS. If you want to breed shrimp for feeding, just get some low grade RCS and start a colony.
