I have some amano shrimp in my tank that does wonders with any and all hair algae. However, they have always been eatting or cutting up any foreground plant that I have attempted to plant. (Ex: hairgrass)

I feed then a shrimpts fishfood every week, in addition to the algae they eat around the tank. Anything I can do to prevent them from constantly dinning on the foreground plants?
