Have a red dragon naked or while now, and witnessed impressive kok growth over a period of about 4-5 months. He had the house to himself for most of his life. About 3 months ago I bought a female pearl kamfa and added her to the tank via a divider. It has been about 1 month without the divider and they get along for the most part. He only nips at her when it's feeding time. He is about three times her size, and not surprisingly is the boss. She follows him around the tank and is pretty playful. But she knows when it's time to get in her place. Since I added her via the divider, he appears to have lost some coloration and kok size. He is always trying to impress her. When I had the divider, he would dig constantly and do his "show off" big swim moves, attack the glass, the usual courting behavior. To me it's not a big deal if they don't hook up. (I am equipped to handle a load of fry) but I don't want to increase his stress levels. Question is, will the continued stress of a non accepting female shorten his life and effect his health? They seem to be good roommates with no divider.image.jpeg
