Shultz Aquatic Plant Soil

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Put it in the bottom of your tank and put your plants in it. I guess I'm not sure I understand the question. Shultz is a pretty light tan color so if you don't like, you can always put a layer of something else on top. If you only have a couple of areas in the tank you are going to plant or areas with plants that are heavy root feeders, you can concentrate the aquatic soil there.

RINSE IT REALLY WELL!! It will still cloud the water after you add it but it will clear up quick and wont hurt the fish. Like I said before mix it up 2 parts soil, 1 part gravel in the shade of your choice. Also add some root tabs to get things kick started. You should be happy with the results.

Does DC shoe company sponsor your tank? I'd get them to chip in a few dollars. The tank should be cleared up in a day or two. If not, you can do a water change and be extra careful not to disturb the substrate. That side of the tank will be a jungle!!

VANS for me homie. Im old school like that.
Looks like things are clearing up nicely. Thats gonna be one nice looking tank once everything kicks in. Worthy of that pretty little pike of yours. Now about your lighting..... and cO2 maybe?? J/K, one step at a time. Are you gonna go all out on the tank $wise, or do you wanna do it DIY on the cheap?
