hello, i have a planted tank with 2 discus i pickd up a month back.. one is doing really well.. the other well im not so happy abt his colouration. its not as bright as the other.. but other than that he seems to be getting on alrite. i was told my a friend that i should add some tetras. or some other fish to help make them less shy too. the tank dimensions are. width 3 feet. breadth 1 foot height 1 and a half. thanks george

Yes, tetras would make them feel more at home. What's your water temp? Nitrates? What do you feed them? How is the tank decorated?

yea sometimes putting in some decor the smae color of the fish will make him look brighter

yeh so im trying to get those tetras.. ive got load of plants in the tank ... amazons.. and various others.. cant seem to get anymore at the moment. theres 1 piece of drift wood and 2 rocks. wat other fish do well with discusl. im feeding some dicuse pellets i picked up and i have dried frozen tubifex. i cycle the water once a week so i think my nitrates are good.. i dont have access to any testing kits out here and i have a nice boyu sponge filter

You might want to add more discus. They do best in large groups.
