hi. ever since i received my fahaka through the mail, it has been extremely shy and afraid of me. it hides ALL day and never comes out. it's been about three months so far. it may be from the shipping because he was pretty badly scared and banged up through the shipping. my question is..will it be like that for life or will it eventually come around? it's approx 6inches and i have a few hiding areas. thanks

im sure it will come around, its probuly because of shipping. when i got mine it was so skinny and shy and hid alot but after a wile of being in the tank it started getting more bold and he beefed up in no time hahaha. now hes a mechine. jsut give it time, they have mad personality.
If it's still hiding after 3 months i'd try more decor in the tank. By offering more hiding places it may make to fish more prepared to come out.
he has definitely beefened up the past three months and colored up a lot but he still refuses to come out and play. hehe. he does swim around inside his hiding spot but doesnt come out into the lighted areas.
