Shy FH....male that is 4.5 inches

My FH is super shy. The moment I walk towards the tank, it darts to the other side of the tank. My water parameters are where they need to be, and my temp is at 86 degrees. I placed a small toy in there hoping to make it more aggressive but nothing. Even with a mirror and the same. Any other ideas ?

He just needs sometime to get useed to. My Fh took two weeks to get used to me being around.

Yes if you just moved him into a new tank then it will take time for him to adjust to the new environment. Some are skittish and needs time to adjust and some are just hardcore and anywhere u move him, he would adjust right away.

I’m new to FH as well. Isn’t 86 degrees a little too warm. I was under the impression that 80- 82 was best. Was I misinformed?
