I bought a 4-5" jag about 2 weeks ago and it hides in a cave constantly, I only ever see it at feeding time then it disappears again! I bought a 3" green terror at the same time and it's out swimming around all the time. Do jags normally spend all their time hiding? It's getting annoying because it's a great looking fish but I never see it..

Might still be getting used to its new home. Once it starts getting used to you feeding it and gets more comfortable, it should start coming out more. What size tank and tankmates? Any pics of the tank setup?

I had a pair of jags, when small I had all sorts of tank mates in there then they bred and killed everyone... Well anyway they used to hide all the time while the rest were still out then I took out all but a few rocks and took out all the caves they came around after a few weeks
